About InTranslation
We are translators, language practitioners, and researchers working between European and South Asian linguistic environments.
Our work grows from long-term engagement with languages in diverse cultural contexts and from academic and professional experience in fields such as translation studies, linguistics, literary studies, and cultural research.
Our team brings together people from different cultural backgrounds across Europe and South Asia, including India and Nepal. Our training has taken place across a range of academic and cultural settings — from universities and research institutes to independent study programs and traditional learning environments such as Sanskrit gurukuls and Buddhist institutes.
Over time, this shared background led to the creation of InTranslation: a space where translation practice, language teaching, and intercultural collaboration come together within a single framework.
At its core, the project functions as an observatory exploring language across cultures, attentive to the ways languages move between societies, communities, and everyday life.
